Historic Seaport Gallery Space

Host your event in a historical location at the South Street Seaport. Melville Gallery is a historical raw space that can accommodate small groups for corporate, non-profit and private events. The gallery can be situated to accommodate seated dinners and cocktail style parties.

Built in 1868 as a warehouse for A.A. Thompson & Co., a tin and metal company, today the Melville Gallery offers a unique setting for a variety of events. Outside, the gallery boasts a spectacular cast-iron façade, along with carved limestone and Tuckahoe marble. Inside, the exposed brick, 13-foot high wood beamed ceiling and elegant wooden columns create a space of warmth and historic charm.
